A driver converts mains voltage (240V AC) to 12V DC. Our range of efficient kitchen lights run on a low voltage, this conserves energy without compromising on brightness. Every light that we sell has a Colour Wattage rating. For example, if you have a light rated at 2.6W and you have 3 of them, your total Colour Wattage consumption would be 7.8W. To put this simply, your drivers Colour Wattage rating must be equal to or greater than 7.8W in order for this to work (pulling through more watts than a driver is rated to will cause the driver to blow). We know that this can sound a little tricky so in order to save you the hassle of working this out, all our light kits include a driver that is specifically designed to work safely and efficiently with your chosen lights. What is a port on the driver? Each driver has a certain number of ports. For example, we sell a 3 port and a 6 port driver in a variety of Colour Wattage s. 1 light will take up 1 port on a driver. If you require 4 lights, you would need a driver with 6 ports as there would not be enough free ports on a 3 port driver. Again, you don't need to worry about this as we have hand crafted all kits with the correct driver, simply select how many lights you require. If you want more lights than are available in our kits, you can either buy another light and driver kit (this gives you the option of having different lights on different switches) or we also sell drivers with different numbers of ports (please search our shop or get in touch for any advice). How to Mount? These lights are designed to be surface mounted under/inside a cabinet. dia First things first, decide on a position for the lights to be installed and drill a small hole (10mm) for the fittings cable to be fed through. This hole should be just behind where the light is fitted (see provided instructions). The light is split into 2 parts, a mounting bracket and the light itself. Mount the bracket to the underside of your cabinet / unit with the 4x supplied fixing screws. The light then sits into the bracket and is held magnetically. Not only does this make them easy to remove for cleaning but it only gives you a completely screwless design ensuring an on-trend and modern finish. dia Now connect the lights to the driver, one light per port. Each light has a 1.5m long cable that...
